That looks pretty cool. You're sort of spamming sourcingmap though.

Damn cool gadgets. This iPhone telescopic lens does just that, adding a nifty protective iPhone case to go along with the lens. The good news is that it does seem to zoom in a crapload (see photo after jump) and long distances with the power of a digital camera and video it is like taking a portable video camera/still camera in your iPhone. but unless that lens unscrews from the body, there's no way you can call the iPhone "pocketable".
But I've got mine from here: http://www.easyipodshop.com/easyipodshop-Zoom-Telescope-Crystal-Case-Apple-iPhone-Camera-sku-a08040300ux0008-from-brand-brand-1035-detail.html
I like it...

This seems like it may come into handy if you maybe were at a sporting event, and wanted to get a better picture. I'm rather skeptical with something that isn't supposed to be on camera, but if that picture in the above post shows what it can do at best, that is rather impressive.

That is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. C'mon, get a life! Wouldn't it make more sense to use an ACTUAL CAMERA with a decent megapixel count? I think so.

Why does your mobile phone have a Camera ?
To be able to take pictures wherever you are (I guess that is the reason) and in my opinion that is somehow useful because I do not want to carry my 1000$ Actual camera with me all day. And having such a 6x optical zoom is not too bad I think ...

Haha.
That add on lens is nuts I could only imaging trying to fit that in your pocket with the lens on. Or someone walking buy and snapping it off.

Is the instruction manual readable? Wonder where this thing is made....
From the description on the website:
6x Optical Zooming Telescope new design to run of rays can effectively avoid the contortion of image, and makes the wide angle, the larger luminous flux, the higher visual acuteness, good for color reduction, which makes the high quality of photography.
I'm glad it's good for color reduction though.
Looks very interesting. Not too expensive.

Yeah, but I guess the day I really need it I forgot it at home :D You know this thing is nice but if I go out for photos I take my camera so I do not need this and if I go out an see something special which needs to be photographed instantly (sexy girl at the beach :D ) then I do not have this with me :P so yes it is nice but I do no think I buy it !

I have the wide angle from the same company, and it does work. I haven't tried the zoom lens, though.

I trust you but what I want to point out is that I do not carry this lens around with me all the time so when I am on the way and I see something special I guess my lens is laying at home and when I carry my lens with me won't see anything special :P

At first I thought that somebody disregarded aesthetics when they engineered this. I guess there really is no way to create it aesthetically pleasing though. I guess I am in the same boat, if I am going to carry around another item in my pocket, I'd just carry a point and shoot camera. Just seems to make more sense, but that's just me.
