hey there,

i think i need some help:

i'm working in a company where it is not allowed to use a cellphone with an integrated camera.
is it possible to deactivate the camera by software or is it possible to erase the camera icon on the homescreen?

thanks and regards

Just hold the camera icon until it "wiggles" then drag it to another page.

If you're jailbroken, you can use "Poof" from Installer to hide the icon.

This is a great app or you could use customize. BTW what company would do this to you.

Maybe just open the case, place some tape on the cam an show this to your boss. So he sees you are unable to take photos and you are done nothing more required !

Lots of companies require employees to not have cameras. I think poof should suffice. It's pretty neat.

And if taping is not enough, open the phone and destroy the cam but that would be sad ... !

You could always replace the icon with something totally irrelevant. Altho the hole on the back of the phone is a total give away. Maybe keep it in a case all the time covering up the camera lens.
