Please help Ip address!!

Ok i have followed step by step on unlocking and jail-breaking phone, all has gone great. Then i installed ssh buttons, that went well also, now im up to fugu part and I need ip address and other info.. when i go to wifi connection there is none to choose from and I cant get any ipaddress info at all.. please help!!! Im so close! Thank you

Do you have a router near your computer? If not, you can't get a Wi-Fi signal.
