iNdependence error

Hi,

I bought the iPhone 16Gb with firmware 1.1.3 (and I guess bootloader 4.6). Tried the method at Hackthatphone.com which requires iNdependence, so downloaded 1.4b3. I am working on Mac Mini G4 with OS 10.4.11

iNdependence starts up without any problems, but keeps coming back with the message "Couldn't download firmware file" after I click the Activate Phone button. I tried at another Mac (Mac Mini Intel Duo Core with 10.4.11) and it gives the same message.

Maybe that I will buy an upgrade to Leopard a little sooner than my original plan, and try again (or run iJailBreak immediately), but I wonder if any of you has seen this error as well, and whether somebody knows a solution.

have you tried any other methods? ZiPhone worked great on my OTB 16GB. I believe there's a GUI for mac now too.
