I was wondering if there would be a possibility of this website having an iPhone formatted iphonealley
I visit this site at least once a day and I'm sure many other members do also
so any chance?

Is there a way to get vbulletin sized for the iphone ? I have not heard of something like this by now, if you have any news please tell me cause I am looking for a similar solution for another forum.

I was shocked to see that there was no icon for iPhone Alley once I added it to the home screen. I wonder if that is coming down the pipeline as well.

We definitely have a home screen icon. Try adding it again.

Hey Michael,
I just retried it and there is in fact an icon. I'm not sure why it didn't come through before. Maybe I didn't wait long enough. My apologies.

So the site is still not iPhone formated?
I have a question?
If it were to become mobilized... Would it lose some of its functionalities? For example, would we still be able to post up on the blog normally with editing features and would you keep the other sections easy to reach? In other words would it still be the full iphonealley website we know and love?

You know that is a difficult process, because the whole side needs to be resized / redesigned for the iphone. It depends on the web designer, some sides loose functionality others don't. But if we see a drupal mobile version I guess they do their best to give the best web experience.

I have not yet seen or used a mobile forum, but I would definitely use a mobile iPhone Alley if there was one. It's a pretty good idea...

We'll do our best to keep it functional in the iPhone version. We'll also be including a switch to get back and forth between the iPhone and regular version.

That is a wonderful idea so the users can always decide which version they want to use. If you find some durpal plugin to do this please inform me via PM I am looking for a similar solution for a different project. Regards Snoop1990

some sites I prefer not go mobile. For this one im 50/50 on it right now. I would like it on one hand, but on the other I enjoy it too much on a normal computer.

We'd definitely keep the standard layout if we went mobile. We'd have an option to see the full site on the iPhone as well.
