I am whatever comes before newbies when it comes to iPhones and unlocking, upgrading and dowgrading etc. I don't even know the terminology quite yet. I can follow directions very well though. That being said I would like to learn as I go with my current iPhone which needs upgrading.
I have an unlocked iPhone on Vodafone currently running 1.0.2 firmware and baseband 3.14.08_G. I want to upgrade it. What firmware should I go for and how should I go about it? Since my phone is already unlocked and sim-unlocked as well, will I have to repeat the procedure once I upgrade? I just bought the phone on the grey market already unlocked so I do not know what was used. If anyone can guide me in the right direction to get me started it will be much appreciated. My aim here is to get on a new firmware and use different themes/skins and 3rd party apps.
