Does anyone know of any good resources for people wanting to develop for the iPhone?

Yeah, definitely.

Apple has posted two excellent sources for iPhone development. The first is their text based guidelines for development (http://developer.apple.com/iphone/designingcontent.html), good for people who want a general feel and some examples.

They also posted a video (https://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/BrowsePrivately/adc.apple.com.1330120400.01330120412.1341655368?i= 2058929754) recently which I liked a lot more because the guy actually talks you through various things. I would watch the video and use the text guidelines for code examples. The only thing you should know about the video is that you need an ADC membership. It's free, just sign up on their site (https://connect.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MemberSite.woa/wa/expressVideo?destination=adc.apple.com.1341655368) .
