Ok, so I used the latest release of 1.1.3 jailbreak (updated today 1/27/08) and once the jailbreak was completed, everything went fine until the phone restarted... Once it came back to the springboard, I had the official apps + the installer icon but nothing else (previously I had about twenty apps from games to network to system apps)
I checked the Uninstall section of the installer and it seemed like everything was still installed but none of the unofficial apps showed on the springboard. Then I tried uninstalling and reinstalling some apps but every time a package is downloaded and the install starts, installer crashes and i am sent back the springboard.
Has anyone seen this with the latest version of 1.1.3 jailbreak and if so, can anything be done or am I just going to have to downgrade to 1.1.1 and restart the whole again!

Any input is highly appreciated!

I just did the same update last night. It worked for me. As I recall, there was an update to Installer that came up and I said yes to the update.

That may make a difference.

Also got a script execution error of some kind during the upgrade to 1.1.3 but seems to work just fine.

All past apps were gone and had to be re-installed. According to the warnings, you must make sure you have enough flash memory left in your iPhone for the update to go smoothly.

GPSphone doesn't work with 1.1.3 but after updating to the latest beta and re-installing the bios.bin into the app folder, everything seems to work again.

Of course, there are those apps that crash with 1.1.3 but I assume the developers are working night and day to come up with upgrades :-)

Good luck. If you do have to do a downgrade, please post the steps in case I need it some day.

I have yet to do a downgrade.
