I had a 1.1.2 jailbreaked iPhone and i updated/jailbreaked it using Nate True's method. It worked but my modem version is still 04.02.13_G. Shouldn't this of been upgrade to 04.03.13_G? It says my version is 1.1.3 (4A93). Which brings me to the reason i posted this. I have bootloader 4.6 on my iPhone and I was wondering if i could downgrade it and still keep phone functionality. I read the problem with downgrading an iphone from 1.1.3 was that the baseband was incompatible, but mine is already at 04.02.13_G. So would it be possible to downgrade?

If you upgrade your baseband you can say Bye Bye to the phone functions since the method released for jailbreaking/unlocking(somewhat) is exposed to leave you with the 04.02.13_G baseband. This is not a messed up issue... you did everything right and if you go and upgrade the baseband.... you'll just have to wait for a fix which might not be available until 1.1.4. Good luck on deciding if you want to continue using your phone as it is now or an expensive iPod Touch.

I know, but right now i have the 04.02.12_G baseband. I don't plan on updating the baseband. I'm asking if I can downgrade the firmware version and keep phone functionality since the baseband version is already 04.02.13_G. Is that possible?

Since your phone is an O.T.B. 1.1.2, No. For you to be able to unlock your phone on a lower firmware version you would need the proper baseband(also, you would need the 3.9 bootloader) for whatever version you are looking to go to. You can only unlock on 1.1.2 or 1.1.3, whichever gets the unlock first.

I am in a similar situation - But my iphone is unlocked using a stealthsim. I think this means it is ok to downgrade but just want clarification before I go for it.
(1.1.3 is definitely less stable and more sluggish than 1.1.2. Iphone has frozen a couple of times, and reset itself yesterday after forgetting WIFI wep keys. Location stuff doesn't work, and phone doesn't recognise incoming call and SMS contacts any more :-( )
Any advice greatly appreciated!

yes you can downgrade without any problems beacause your baseband is still for 1.1.2. That why is called a soft update and not a true upadate from iTunes. You can downgrade to 1.1.2 and phone will work you can also downgrade to 1.0.2 but you have to downgrade your 04.02 baseband. You can even Downgrade you accidentally updated through to iTunes to 1.1.3 (i think this only true for iphones with 3.09 bootloader) by using one of the various tools outhere and you phone will still work.

Good afteroon.
I ask for your help. My iphone's original version is 1.1.3. and i bought it to USA 3 weeks ago. To unlock it to function as pda touch and phone first i have to downgrade to 1.1.1, after to 1.1.2. and then to install relevant "turbo or other sim".
I followed instructions with the *#307# (from the site http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=461 &
http://iphone.unlock.no/#Bypass-Acti...-and-Jailbreak l) and after a while i couldn't proceed. I tried many times, very carefully, after restarting or turning of but without result.
The first time i stuck to the first "contact" (prefs, http://jailbreakme.com) and after the general->auto lock->never..... i couldn't proceed to the next step. I stuck at "0"-call-accept-hold-decline....(here stuck) and i couldn't proceed to the next step to "contacts"... and after throught safari to http://jaibreakme.com.... and proceed with the rest of the downgrade.
I couldn't input the second contact or run "Install AppSnapp".
The second time and all the other/next times i couldn't run either the first steps either the last ones.
So i stopped and i don't know what to do next..
Any help will be very much appreciated. (sorry for my bad English)
Thanks

When you make a new contact give it 2 different URL's add the prefs one, then go back and hit Add new URL and then add http://jailbreakme.com. Once you turned autolock on never go back to the contact and select jailbreakme.com. You should be good to go from there.

My iphone stuck to : "0"-call-accept-hold-decline....(here stuck) and can't go again to "contacts"

That sounds exactly like my poxy iPhone, just completely unstable. I am not too fussed about losing third party apps and that stuff once you upgrade but losing the phone and text ability defeats the object of having a phone!

mine is also (not) doing this, 1.1.2 on o2, jailbreaked, then upgraded (natetrue) to 1.1.3 everything works but text messages and blue boxes show the numbers in the international format (+4477123456) the only way to sort this is to have two contact numbers for each contact, one being 077123456 and the other +4477123456... anyone know of a better way of sorting this as i dont want to do it to all of my contacts...

Hi, I have an 1.1.2 OTB iphone, I had jailbreaked it to 1.1.1, but then I tried George Hotz's 1.1.2 OTB software unlock, however I ended up accidentaly upgrading to 1.1.3 using itunes. My iphone right now shows the connect to itunes logo and emergency dial... I can't downgrade back to 1.1.1 using the shift + restore and then selecting the 1.1.1 firmware (It shows error 1). Can anyone help please??
