I had a friend who tried helping me jailbreak my iphone using ibrickr. Everything was going fine, ibrickr said that it was modifying the phone and it would be done in 5 minutes. Well, when nothing happened after 15 minutes, we restarted both ibrickr and the phone like it said to do. When the phone turned back on, the apple logo popped up like normal, then a black background with scrolling white text came up. It was scrolling so fast we couldn't read what it said. So we figured we would restore it on itunes, only itunes doesn't recognize the iphone anymore.
We have NO idea what to do now...can anybody help me please?!

The scrolling of white text was part of the procedure. Don't be too scared. Put your iPhone in DFU mode and restore and repeat the process

I have the same problem. I'm also a layman and the term DFU, which I have seen on numerous occasions, is unclear to me - I have looked for a terminology reference manual in many forums, but can't seem to locate.
How do you DFU the phone?
Is there a forum page or location for tech terms used for us dummies?

you can put your iphone in DFU mode by holding the home+sleep Button For 6 Sec And After That Just Hold Home Button For 6 Sec Until Your Itunes Response For an iphone Recovery mode.
