Rogers Canada, red badge on phone icon

Is anybody else with Rogers having this problem?

I always have a red badge on my phone icon and voicemail icon even if I don't have any voicemail. I have tried leaving myself a message and then deleting it and that still doesn't work

I am using a 1.1.2 phone with a StealthSim.

If I remember correctly, this wasn't happening when I first started using it, but I could be wrong.

I had the same problem using all versions of iPhone software with Rogers. The red badge would disappear if you leave a voicemail then delete it. I don't know of any other solution. I hope this helps.

ive had this problem on others phones not just the iphone
i think if you hang up too quickly after listening to a message it sometimes stays for a week
best advice listen to the message fully delete it and hit * (star) to hang up dont just hang up

for the iphone also try to fully turn it on and back off it went away, or re-boot it

however that being said i have seen this problem even on a guys phone and he didnt have voicemail at all the second he turned on the phone the red dot came up, so there might be something funky going on if the re-boot doesnt work

I think it may have something to do with the StealthSim.


I also can't change carrier logo's, since I can't even figure out how to get one up there in the first place. All I get is Rogers in txt.

the application named customize can be used in conjunction with the image packages to change your carrier name

tried that, I clicked on several carrier icons and rebooted, and all i get is just ROGERS still in txt.
