I Need Some Ideas Amigos

I'm one of the donkeys who bought an iphone after November 9th not realizing it was unhackable. I need it for Costa Rica. I have a friend who is using a hacked Iphone here just fine.

So, I know it can't be hacked, but do I have other options? Can I trade sim cards with someone in the states who has an older Iphone? Any other suggestions are much appreciated.
