Help for a newbie..

Hey guys...
Have had my iphone for a month or so now and really want to put some music on it although i upgraded to itunes 7.4 and now everytime i connect the iphone my computer shutsdown automatically but it didnt do this with the older version of itunes? whats the latest version that wont stuff up my "unlocked phone". im running 1.0.2, is there anyway i can upgrade this alos without messing up the hack? anyhelp is greatly appreciated. I use iTunes 7.4.2 and have heard alot of people are running teh latest version of iTunes without problems. Just make sure you disable teh option for automatic updates and syncing.... or you might find yourself coming back for more problems.
