After following the "touch free" 1.1.2 jailbreak procedure, I now have
a phone that is jailbroken on 1.1.2, but will not connect or sync with
itunes. I get an error message that says: "iTunes cannot connect to
the iPhone "iPhone" because an unknown error occured (0xE000024)."
I've tried on several different machines (both mac and windows). I can
get to the phone via ssh, and neither the camera or photo apps work.
Everything else seems to be functioning normally.
I used the jailbreak software here:
http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/site/112jb.html and I followed the
instructions in the readme. I started with a jailbroken 1.1.1 phone,
mac osx 10.4.10 and iTunes 7.5 (19). I had updated to 1.1.2, then
downgraded with the procedure in the readme, receiving the 1015 error.
To get the phone out of DFU mode I had to use iphoneinterface.exe on a
windows box, as iphuc wouldn't work (presumably due to iTunes 7.5).
After that i jailbroke the phone in 1.1.1, installed bsd, ssh, and
OKtoprep, then updated to 1.1.2.
Ideally I'd like a jailbroken 1.1.2 phone, but at this point I'd
settle for a non-jailbroken 1.1.2...I can't do either of these in its
current state because I can't get iTunes to even see the phone without
the aforementioned error. Is there something I can do via the command
line to resolve this? I have the vt100 terminal installed and I can
ssh to the phone, so I could get files over there if I need to. I've
looked around and this seems to be a fairly unique problem.
Any help or a point in the right direction would greatly appreciated!
