Ok so im new to all of this i have few questions.. does the hack with the phone calls and safari really really work? :D i dont have wi-fi.. is there someway to get around this? :rolleyes: thx for answers

The hack using only the phone and wifi does indeed work and actually is quite easy to do. I just followed the instructions and within about 35 min I was up and running. As for not having wifi, do you have any friends who have wireless or a free wifi network? Just use that.

Well in lithuania wifi are not as popular, and you have to pay huge money to use it :( i cant use it in home maybe in city centre... but wait while you are unlocking it you have to use a sync with pc? :rolleyes: anyway. Well see :p oh and another thing this installer app which has anysim on it its free?

That sucks aroud the wifi... but to answer your second question yeah it's free :) I do suggest once you unlock your phone you send some money (anything really) their way, I did as I think they deserve to be rewarded for providing such great services to us iphone people :)

The whole unlock and activate process can be done right on the phone itself so no you don't have to sync to a computer to do it. I do suggest you read up on the updates though as 1.1.2 has come out and itunes 7.5 is out... DO NOT UPGRADE to either of these until you've read up on it as some features/functions of unlocking the phone may no longer work afterward. Always assume a new update will lock your phone until proven otherwise from reliable sources online.

Hey Everyone-

Another newb here and I have followed the steps to unlock my iphone and I have one question.... :confused:

When it is time to do step 10 of the attached "how to", do I really choose "Setup as a new iPhone"?? won't I lose all my contacts, songs, etc. by choosinig this option??

I thought "Restore from backup" should be picked? Now remember I'm new at this, so sorry for asking a dumb question - I just want to have my iPhone unlocked and still have all my contacts, etc.
