Installer gone! HELP

Hello,

I got the iphone (unlocked).
i downloaded apps with installer.
Too much i think.
Now the installer icon is gone.
How can i get it back !
I can't install or uninstall anymore.

I also have this problem, after doing the same thing of installing too many icons, and losing the instaler icon.

How do I uninstal the applications I have added ? or
How do I install a utility to handle multiple screens of icons ?

If you can ssh into your phone, you can cd into the Applications directory.

Then cd into the icon application directory, i.e whatever app you want to remove.
rm *.* the files, then rm the application again and the PkgInfo files.

Be careful that you only do a rm *.* in the directory you want to delete.

cd back up a level

and rmdir the utility you have just removed.

Then reboot your phone and you'll find it has gone.

I have just successfully completed this on my phone, now to install a icon handler.

I think that SSHing into the phone and deleting the application is lest risky than trying to upgrade the phone to 1.1.1 and potentially having issues unlocking it.

It is also a 2 minute job compared to a much longer unlocking one.

Sorry guys i had the same problem but i am not very familiar with the iphone terminology so how can i delete apps via usb? any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, I myself had the same problem. Done tons of research online on how to recover the installer, the most easy and simple way is to follow this link's instructions:

This link is the third step on craking the iphone version 1.0.2 . Just follow those instructions and the instaler will appear on the home icons again, after that be sure to install the SpringBoard to never have to do this again.

The instructions don't require any haker skills cause the exe program does all the work for you!

You should also know that the version 111 browses the icon, unlike the 1.0.2 without the summerboard add-on.

open ibrick again and install customize (old version) will fix the problem. Install will appear again. Remember on to install Customize (not installer again):mad:

Hi there, I have the same problem as some who have found the installer icon missing or hidden under the 16 icons on the homescreen and am not able to locate it. I have tried re-installing the apps installer but it gets hidden again after downloading. I did not download the summerboard or bsd subsystem before so I can't scroll or use ssh.

Please advise how if I can use the ibrick and winscp to delete some icons in order for the installer icon to resurface and how. ( and then to install summerboard and bsd ). Please help ! Thanks
