Unless you're an AT&T customer visual voice mail will work

Yep, only AT&T supports VVM yet. Maybe T-Mobile will support it one day.

I am an AT%T user. Now you are asking why did I unlocked my phone? I live in Puerto Rico, and they do not have iPhone in Puerto Rico with ATT. Dont know why, dont ask me why. The thing is, if you live in PR and want an iPhone with your PR number, you need to unlock it, so I did it, but I the visual voicemail doesnt work...any new ideas, since i am with att??

unless you sign up for the specific iphone plan you don't get visual voicemail

Is there any way to disable visual voice mail, and have the old voicemail ???, the thing is that with an unlocked iphone on a different network, not only the visual voice mail doesn't work, it will never notify you when you have a new voice mail... not even that... help!!!!
