The issue
a brand new 1.1.1 iphone no sound or no vibvrate when muting utube only works if you plug in headphones else I get message cannot show video
its slow you press a key on the keypad and you get it acouple of seconds later
the culprit
anysim 1.1

the task was to unlock 5 iphone virgin 1.1.1 new

using the *#307* jailbreakme.com method
sucessfully on all 5
installed bsd subsystem and open shh
added iphone.burgle.ca\pedo source
installed anysim 1.1
ran anysim all 5 reported sucessfull
rebooted unistalled anysim
fixed youtube
noticed 1 iphone had no sound and slugish takes ages to power off!!!
tried restore 1.1.1 no longer able to key *#307*
tried downgrading to 1.0.2 and then back to 1.1.1 same problem

I did all 5 at same time methodically all steps were done correctly
seems like i need to repair the baseband

do i attempt this in 1.0.2 firmware mode even though this is a factory 1.1.1
or is there something else I could try

can the baseband kill the sound

I have heard that every iphone acts differnetly on many posts and I do believe this even though its completely ilogical

any sugestions would be well received even if its away to make it look like no hacking has ever taken place - Apple warranty

never heard of this.
Try to power cycle, attach to iTunes, quit, and power cycle again.

If not - you've likely got something damaged somewhere that will require a fresh baseband flash or something... drag.. sorry mate.

good luck.

Its fixable , yeah no matter what or how you unlocked these phones some do have a mind of their own... Do a restore, check the firmware if 1.1.1
then virginize the phone, then start all over again unlocking
when ever you unlock using anysims you corrupt the bandbase and what happened here is that when you unlocked the phone something went wrong but you didnt notice it , i ran into that problem also with no sound and slow as hell , Just restore , re virginize and re unlock dont use 307 method used the depriacaited method of 1.1.1 then down to 1.0.2 then back up to 1.1.1 its safer to do . you can go the 307 route but you might screw it up......

I downgraded factory 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 and ran AppTap to Jailbreak, PACAY to Activate and iBrickr 0.8 with AnySIM to UnLock. Everything went fine except for a last minute error for SecPack not being written.

All apps run fine except that when I try to use a different SIM, it shows a box with "iPhone must be used with an appropriate SIM"

My settings show a version of 1.0.2(1C28) with modem firmware 04.01.13_G
So am stuck...!!
Anybody got any suggestions? For re-virginizing, is the firmware 04.01 correct?

PLEASE Guide.. Its been now a 12 hours marathon for me :(

OK all sorted
downgraded to 1.0.2
did full baseband repair as per forums
upgraded to 1.1.1 (still not jailbreaking)
Full restore 1.1.1 (jailbreak working)

working great now
