Need help with tmobile EDGE on iphone

my phone is unlocked running on tmobile and i have tried to set the APN as internet2.voicestream.com but EDGE wont work but when i use wap.voicestream.com it works. Any clues as to why this is or how to fix it?

have you subscribed to the tmobile total internet package? if not, you won't have access to their internet2.voicestream.com portal... if you have and its still not working, then try internet3.voicestream.com instead (no username/no password)... that seemed to work for me (i think i was assigned a VPN/business type account - same $19.99 price for total internet/edge/hot spots)

TRY THIS WITH T-MOBILE edge...I HAVE DONE THE SAME WITH MINE TODAY AND NOW IT WORKS

Press "Settings"
Press "General"
Press "Network"
Press "EDGE"
Press "APN" and in the box enter:


wap.voicestream.com



Do not put anything in the username or password boxes
Now you are done and can exit by pressing the botton at the bottom of the phone or press general to go back to the previous screen

help i have an iphone unlocked and i can't connect to edge i already signed up for the total internet plan on t-mobile but when i set the apn setting and finish the phone does not save... what do i do?
