Hi,
I have activated and unlocked my 1.1.1 iphone with a Mac. Thanks to all the Dev gurus out there. This is fantastic work.

I bought a $10 T-Mobile sim card (pay as you go) and this is working fine in the US. I am now returning to France and would like to know if I just put in my French sim card in the iphone and it is going to recognised the French sim card. or, do I have to put in the French sim card and re-unlock it with AnySim?
Would I have to do this (AnySim) process with every other country Sim card that I put in the iphone?
Once the sim cards are unlocked? can you just swap the sim cards without out re-doing the process, each time you change countries?

Thanks

Just arrived in France with my US purchased iPhone and plugged in my 'orange' french SIM card. Works like a charm so far.
I've even tried to use EDGE for the internet and this worked too. Though extremely expensive. It swallowed up 5 euros in the space of 2minute surfing. (this is on a prepaid orange Mobicarte (no contract)). I'll have to try to swap to a 'Forfait' account. But I'll wait until the French iPhones are released here and check if they come out with special Data deals for iPhones.

One thing, though, that doesn't work on my iphone:
when I call #123# which is the way you check your reminding call time (it's supposed to send you back a message with amount of time and $ reminding) This is not working. Does anyone know if the # key in the US is different than in France? Do I maybe have to put an other character to make this work?

Thanks

I have used SIM cards from 3 different carriers here in Thailand. Works fine with my AnySim unlock. Make sure any passwords on the SIM card have been removed first.

Sorry, i should not have used the word "password". I meant to say PIN #. If your current SIM card has a PIN# you will know by the fact that you have to enter it every time you turn on the phone to access the phone. If the SIM is coming from another phone (probably your old phone) remove the PIN # before taking it out of the phone.

If you have never had to enter a PIN # for access to your phone or it is a new SIM card, do not worry about the PIN#. It will not be on the SIM card.
