simple question i hope

Ok soon I will purchase a iphone and follow the guide using my mac that is on posted in hacktheiphone.com.....I'm on a family plan with at&t and I plan on using my current cingular sim card in the iphone....My question is do I insert my old sim into the iphone before I start the whole downgrading jailbreaking process or before? And Also, on my current family plan I have unlimited texting if I unlock my iphone will that carry over? Any other tips or suggestions would be GREAT I dont want save up my money for this phone and brick it day one....THANK YOU

I kept my T-Mobile SIM in the whole time. For you, that would equate to putting your Cingular SIM in.

You need to jailbreak and put ssh on the iPhone, etc. (which you probably know.. or should) and from there put anySim v1.1 on the iPhone. Boom! You'll be unlock'd and ready to rock.

Personally, I prefer iNdependence v1.2.5 for the jailbreak, install SSH and installation of anySim v1.1, but that is a personal preference.
