Hi everyone,
I just bought my new iPhone yesterday and I want to get it to work with the T-Mobile network. If I understand the Hacking the iPhone tutorial on this site, I should be able to take my brand new iPhone and make it work on the T-Mobile network with FW version 1.1.1.
I followed the first page (http://www.hacktheiphone.com/111/iphone_step1_mac.html) on iPhone Alley for Hacking an iPhone and successfully downgraded my phone to FW 1.0.2. Before I continue with this, I want to know if I need to put my existing T-Mobile SIM card into the iPhone before Jailbreaking and Activation? If not, at what point can I exchange the AT@T SIM that comes with the phone for my T-Mobile SIM? I figure that all I have done so far is to downgrade the phone so I should be able to get back to factory settings if this won't work.
Also, I don't have a WIFI network at my apartment so I need to do this on another computer at work. Is it still possible to have the iPhone sync up to my Mac at home. I will be using a Mac at work as well.
Thanks for this great site! :)
