Following the step by step process http://www.hacktheiphone.com/111/iphone_step1_mac.html (which is mazing btw ; congrats guys !) with success, I went on with the step 2 (anysim) ; every step went fine until the last message "unlock successful" which I didn't get ; the iphone doesn't recognize any network and "carrier" isn't listed anymore in the "settings" ; can anyone help ? thanks

THE instructions work great.. follow them through to the end, then use anysim (latest version) to unlock the sim.

Hi everyone, quick question.

i recently bought an iphone with current firmare 1.1.1, downgraded it from head to toe, activated and jail broke it, the whole shabang and its working grt. i did this thru itunes 7.4.2, independence day and anysim. tho im not to sure what version of anysim i used( any ideas as to how im able to work out what version ive used). my imei # on the back of the fone is the same as in the about section of the iphone. given this, is it safe to assume that i can upgrade back to 1.1.1 with total confidence using independence day 1.2.4 pre 1.1.1 upgrade.

cheers

Similar situation for me this weekend, when I followed (successfully) the "virginize process" that was published on Friday.

Anyway, I had to downgrade to 1.0.2 and then proceed forward from there. In my case though, I was still on 1.0.2 and had not gotten to the steps of updating to 1.1.1 (which worked great when I got there, btw.) In your case, since you're already on 1.1.1, you might be able to get away with doing a restore (in iTunes) and moving forward from there.

Hope this helps.
