View Full Version : Apple Targeting iPhone Resellers

It appears that Apple has begun to target customers that they suspect to be reselling their iPhones in an unlocked state internationally and in the United States. Apple is reportedly contacting customers who's accounts show large, repeated orders of iPhones, sending them emails canceling their orders and inviting them to enter the Apple <a href="http://www.apple.com/channel/" target="_blank">reseller program</a>. <!--break-->

TUAW reader Silvio Duque sent in a copy of a recent email to an unnamed Apple customer thanking them for their interest in Apple products. "While Apple appreciates your company's support of Apple's technology and products, the Apple Store you placed this order with sells products to end-user customers only, and the order has therefore been cancelled. You may wish to review the Sales and Refunds Policy."

As of yet, this hasn't been confirmed by Apple, but if you have more information from a similar information, we would like to hear from you.

Dear Apple Customer,

Thank you for your interest in Apple products.

It appears that your recent Apple Store order is for products intended
for resale. While Apple appreciates your company's support of Apple's
technology and products, the Apple Store you placed this order with
sells products to end-user customers only, and the order has therefore
been cancelled. You may wish to review the Sales and Refunds Policy at
<http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/salespolicies.html>.

For information about joining Apple as a reseller, visit
<http://www.apple.com/contact/reseller.html>.

For orders that exceed nine iPods, please contact our Corporate Gifting
and Rewards team at 1-877-275-IPOD.

Thank you again for your interest in Apple.

Sincerely,
Apple Store Customer Support

Why is this even a story topic. You are selling a voided product. Unlocking the phone voids the warranty (if you agree or not thats what it is doing) and therefore you are selling a product that has no warranty.

In this case, I feel the person selling the tainted iphone's is to blame, not apple..
