Query re unlocked 1.0.2 iPhone --> 1.1.1

I have searched, so apologies if I missed the answer to this already!

I have an unlocked iPhone 1.0.2, it was unlocked by a friend using Erica Sadun's unlock.app

Most of the info I've seen refers to either a brand new virgin 1.1.1 or a bricked 1.0.2, is there a procedure yet that will allow an unlocked 1.0.2 to be upgraded to 1.1.1 and still be unlocked with everything working?

At this particular time, there is no way to update a previously unlocked phone (unlocked using anything other than SimFree) to 1.1.1 and still have a way to keep it unlocked.

Right now the dev team released AnySim 1.1 which WILL unlock virgin 1.0.2 and 1.1.1 ONLY. This means that if you have previously unlocked your phone then it still will NOT WORK. It is for Virgin phones only.

They are working on a way to virginize all phones so that you can update to 1.1.1 as if it was a virgin phone and use the new anySIM. Just hang tight and I am sure you will see it soon. ;)
