TomTom Announces iPhone Car Kit Price, Estimated Release Date

Per <a href="http://www.macworld.com/article/143043/2009/09/tomtom_price.html?lsrc=rss_main" target="_blank">Macworld</a>, the kit will include a powerful GPS chip, built-in speaker, power cable, and more.<!--break-->
What's currently unknown is precisely what’s included in this $120 package, which supports the original iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPhone 3GS. The entire TomTom app, if purchased with the kit, raises the retail price to $220—more than the cost of some of TomTom’s standalone units. TomTom has said it will offer a bundle of the two, but it gave no further information on the price.</p>

for one, the software app sucks. good thing I didnt pay for it...HAHA. second, another 120 bucks later it still sucks, but now its mounted to my windshield.....thats pretty pricy considering they put up NO cost on hardware for the phone in the first place. what a rip off. stick with GARMIN, tomtom just sucksucks!!!

I purchased the TomTom app, and have to say, it was the worst app I have ever purchased, for the price, I had expected more, especially with the name TomTom, the app was in fact a big disappointment, and appeared to be something that was rushed to market and in complete.
I have purchased many app(s) and decided to write to apple in hopes that I would get my money and/or a credit for this terrible app, well, apple credited me back my money, I fully respect apple and the way they do business, as for TomTom, you lost me as a customer, and now seeing the added cost for the mount assures me I made the right decision in requesting my hard earned money.
So my advise, Stay Far Away, Very Far Away from the TomTom app....
