Premier volunteering web portal seeks to be the first volunteer site to launch an iphone app. Seeking developer. Suggestions?

Tell us more about the requirements of this project. Do you want a developer to volunteer their time or is this a paid project? Do you want us to suggest developers or suggest ways to recruit a developer?

Developing apps takes a lot of time, and there are other apps published by non-profits, so you need to convince potential developers why you're the charity that deserves their time. Good luck. :)

Thank you for your response.Our portal has been up and saving nonproits significant monies for 2 years. In a perfect world I would love them to volunteer in keeping with our mission. However, if need be we might be able to pay a small amount. Also I would be willing to share some of the profit if we charge for the app.

I am open to suggestions on both front, particular people and recruitment. I wish to move forward and not waste time.

The word "volunteer" and "pay a small amount" are scary for developer :P
