Wondering why someone would make such a lame and immature app as iFart Mobile? Joel Comm, the app's creator, recently revealed the creative process that went into making the most infamous fart machine app in the App Store. In the interview, Joel talks about what drove them to make the app, and his thoughts about why it was so successful. You can read the full interview at Orlando Sentinel.

Uh yeah. So that's why so many apps are so successful. There are a lot of useful ones.

seriously who freakin cares? i think the iphone would be way better without the apps. they ALL SUCK. so do the developers!!!Normally I just let your rants go by me because they are very *YOU* focused. But come on, all the apps suck? They most certainly do not. So do the developers?

This post is nothing but flamebait (and I guess I bit).

i have had the iphone since day one, and yes all the app in my opinion are GARBAGE. the free ones are stripped down versions of more expensive crappy apps. and the devleopers are the most greedy POS's of them all. stupid greedy aholes. get a real job and stop trying to make a million bucks on five min of crappy work.

and yes i would assume when you advertise on tv you would see a sales spike cause people are FOLLOWERS not INNOVATORS. they only do what they see not do what they like.

Urbanspoon- app. GARBAGE. can you really tell me that people are so indecisive that they cant even decide what to eat.....this world if full of lame people. which most own iphones, and download lame apps.

I have no need for ANY APPS except Bluetooth Audio. has anyone created one? just what i thought. F u to anyone who reads this.

I would love to smack all the iphone developers in the face one by one!!! then fire the apple dev team for being so narrowminded with the bluetooth features.

they only tell you how many times they have been downloaded, i want to know how many times they have been deleted from peoples phones!!!!! that is the real test. but they dont tell you that. imagine that!!! its a one way streak that the result are skewed. why cant people see that? oh thats right, your idiots!!

My five year old has spent hours beating my scores. Grrr.

The Google app is shear genius. Incredible quick searches done by voice with no awkward typing into the iPhone interface. And free no less. Genius.

WeatherBug is a neat free replacement for the built-in, but lacking, Weather tool.

Aurora Feint The Beginning (free) is quite a bit of fun. Shockingly well done for a free app. Granted they're trying to get you to upgrade to their (oh the horror) 99c apps but still a lot of fun.

Mobile News (free) is a great quick newsreader that runs great on low bandwidth (EDGE).

Pandora & AOL Radio (free) are wonderful ways to listen to new music when you're on the go.

Remote Desktop & VNC both have free versions available.

Shazam is such a neat, free app for finding out what great music is playing around you. Also a great party trick for friends.

Facebook is a great way to update what you're doing on the go, for free. Though I don't use them I know there's several Twitter apps for free as well.

There are lots of great apps out there. Some of them are available via Cydia/Installer. Some are in the App Store. Some are in both. Lots of great apps are free or cost very little.
