Orb, the media-sharing software for the PC, has just been released for the Mac. Orb lets you access your media, like music and videos in iTunes and photos in iPhoto, by streaming them to your iPhone from your Mac. As long as you have your Mac on and running the Orb software, you can access your media anywhere you have internet access, including the iPhone if you download the OrbLive app [App Store, $9.99].

If you just want to try the app, you can check out the free version, simply called OrbLive Free [App Store, Free]

Orb Live

This is far and away the best app on the iphone! I have used this on my pc and iphone back before it was on the app store and was only on jailbroken phones. What is not mentioned is the fact that you can stream live tv from your phone if you have a cable tuner card installed on your computer, This works via Edge, 3G or WIFI, so it basically is like having slingbox on your phone with out any fees outside of the 9.99 app price and the cost of the cable tuner card. Get this app you will not be sorry!

Orb

I was also using this on the iPhone before the app came out. Simply go to mycast.orb.com in the browser and log in. You can stream whatever is on your home computer to your iphone without the app. Have not tried it with a tv tuner yet. Maybe for Christmas.
