MoneyBook Budgeting App Restores My Sense Of Childlike Wonder

MoneyBook.jpg

MoneyBook [App Store, $2.99] is a brand new finance app from noidentity and it's absolutely gorgeous. MoneyBook allows you to easily manage your budget using an interface that looks so good, you'll be excited to budget! Simply specify your monthly budget, enter expenses as they come in, and MoneyBook will tell you how much you have left to spend! It supports recurring expenses, spending categories, and can even show you progress over previous months.

If you've found that apps like Cha-Ching were just a tiny bit too complicated for your tastes, MoneyBook might be exactly what you're looking for. I've had a chance to briefly play with it and I'm very impressed. Jump down to check out a video and some screenshots!

Pennies

This application looks like a newer version of the older iPhone finance app Pennies. App Store Link Just like it actually, but much better. Different developers though. Hmmmmm.

Allow me to blow your mind with some proactive investigative journalism...

I asked one of the developers of the app about the similarities between this app and pennies. He replied:
Quote:
[...] honestly we were big fans of pennies. The reason we made MoneyBook was, that we used pennies a lot, but there weren't updates and we missed a few things in pennies, like statistics and recurring expenses. So we decided to build our own app and we took the best from pennies and added our best ideas.
Pennies hasn't been updated since March and it seems like the developer has abandoned it. If you can't get satisfaction, take matters into your own hands, I guess!

Dude. Consider my mind blown...

I stoppped using Pennies because it didn't do everythng I needed it to. I'll have to try this one.

Have you bought it yet? I can send you a promo code...

I have not. I would love a promo code!

It's in your email!

Thanks again.
