First Person To Get iPhone 3G Planted By Yellow Pages

Do you remember Johnny Gladwell? He was that guy that was first in line for the iPhone 3G. He also said he "survived" for three days on the streets of New Zealand while waiting for his mystery device, claiming that it was part of a bet he had made with friends. Since then he has been outed as a plant who was hired to stand in line and "survive" off of nothing but things he ordered from New Zealand's Yellow Pages. You can even register to win "that Phone" he bought. Silly, isn't it?

Jerk TV Reporter Makes Fun of iPhone Line Waiters, Gets Own'd On Live TV

Many iPhone Alley readers, including most of us here at the site, decided to wait in line for the iPhone 3G on Friday. Why? Well, some of us are die-hard Apple fans, others simply want to get the best phone available. So when we see reporters show up to check out the madness, the last thing we expect is to be insulted by one of them. Unfortunately, one KTLA reporter couldn't help himself and, allegedly under orders from his producer, decided to ask some less than dignified questions.

Fortunately for iPhone fans everywhere, the man he directed his questions to gave him the best response a question like this could yield. In other words, this reporter was own'd. Hard. Read on for the video.

Radio Interview With The First Man In The World To Get An iPhone 3G

Gizmodo has stumbled upon a brief radio interview with the man at the front of the line in New Zealand. He says that his line waiting is actually partly the result of a bet with his friends that he couldn't survive for three days living on the streets of Auckland. So far he's been using the yellow pages and surfing the web with his laptop and having things brought to him. You can check it out put to this goofy video here.

Line Forms Outside Softbank Flagship Store, Tokyo

It looks like the 5th Avenue Apple Store isn't the only one seeing some pre-iPhone 3G launch excitement. Japan carrier Softbank is seeing crowds of people line up at their flagship store on Omotesandou street, Tokyo. At the front of the line is Hiroyuki Sano, who will be the first person in all of Asia to be getting an iPhone 3G (assuming Hong Kong stores open later that day).

More On The New York iPhone 3G Line-Waiters: TheWhoFarm

More information has been found on the group of five heading up the line of iPhone-waiters in NY. It turns out that they're with a group called TheWhoFarm, an environmental collective seeking publicity to further their mission of persuading the next President of the U.S. to transform the 17-acre lawn of the White House into an organic farm.

Line Forms Outside 5th Avenue Apple Store In New York

The iPhone 3G launch is about 1 week away and people have started lining up outside Apple's flagship store in New York. Apparently the family at the front of the line are standing there in an attempt to break a world record for standing in line.
