Truphone

Truphone, a mobile Voice over Internet Protocol application for the iPhone, is undergoing conflicts with Apple's recently-released iPhone OS 3.0 update. According to Macworld UK, an e-mail sent from the company to customers has stated that some users are now seeing the wrong application icon or the Truphone application icon not showing at all under the iPhone 3.0 Software Update.

Truphone has launched the next version of their VoIP app Truphone 3.0 for iPod touch. The new version, which they describe as a major update, adds things like better ease of use, responsiveness, and simplicity. Sound quality has also been improved, and they have added instant messaging within the app. You can get it in the App Store as a free download.

TruPhone, one of very few VoIP apps available for the iPhone, announced recently their very first "bundle" in which users can sign up for a monthly minutes subscription. Called Tru Saver, the plan is only available to Nokia and iPhone owners, and offers 1,000 minutes per month to the US and Canada for just US$14.99 monthly in the US or UK£7.49 for UK citizens.
