Stanford Offering Free iPhone App Development Courses in iTunes U

Stanford University has recently begun offering a free iPhone app development course via iTunes U. The 10-week course is hosted by Apple engineers who walk students through every aspect of iPhone app development. We've taken a look at the first lecture and really enjoyed it. You'll need to already know Objective-C to actually dive in and start writing apps with this course, but it's great to check out even if you're just curios.

Stanford To Offer iPhone Application Development Classes

With all of the buzz around developing for the iPhone, it's understandable that those preparing to enter the software development industry will want to prepare for developing on the new platform. Stanford seem to be trying to meet the demand. TUAW discovered that they're offering an entire computer science course starting this fall devoted solely to programming on the iPhone platform. Given that Apple has yet to lift the NDA for app development, we're not sure how they're going to pull it off.
