New iPhone Worm Goes Live, Steals Your Info For Reals

A new iPhone worm has found its way onto jailbroken iPhones with SSH enabled. The worm, which emerged from the Netherlands according to security software company F-Secure, puts up an ING Direct login page that lets the hacker gather login credentials and, presumably, move funds to wherever they please. This version also changes the 'alpine' password to block users from getting to the phone via SSH.

Several jailbroken iPhone users recently had their iPhones held hostage by a Dutch iPhone hacker. They were surprised one day to find a message on their device stating that their precious iPhone had "been hacked because it's really insecure," saying the mystery messenger had access to all of their files.

TouchTerm: First SSH Client In The App Store

JBrink.net has just released TouchTerm, a native SSH client for the iPhone in the App Store. TouchTerm lets you access and administer servers from anywhere over Wi-Fi or EDGE/3G. It also lets you control font size and color, type in landscape mode, scroll over terminal output, save connection parameters and passwords (optional), and keep a cross-session command history.
