Apple slashed the price of its 8GB iPod touch media player from $229 to $199 on Wednesday as senior vice president of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller, who cited sales of 20 million iPod touch units, introduced a 64GB iPod touch for $399 and a 32GB model for $299.
Per Apple, the 32GB and 64GB models are reportedly 50% faster, include support for the Open GL|ES 2.0 graphics language and finally include full Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support for communication with nearby devices such as the Nike + iPod sport kit.
