Yesterday Navigon AG announced the launch of Navigon MyRegion [App Store, $24.99], the company's new iPhone navigation app that allows users to purchase only the region they need instead of a more expensive, full US map. Access to the first region is available an introductory price of $24.99 (normally $29.99) until April 12th with no hidden charges or additional monthly fees. Additional regional maps can be accessed as an In App Purchase for an introductory $12.99 (normally $14.99) MobileNavigator with map access for all of North America (including Eastern, Central and Western U.S. as well as Canada) is available for $79.99.

Navigon MyRegion includes all the features and capabilities as MobileNavigator 1.4 plus Navigon MyRoutes, which will be added to MobileNavigator North America via an upcoming update to 1.5.0 due this spring. Navigon MyRoutes is feature that learns from the users driving style to provide customized and better route recommendations. The feature also offers up to two alternative routes clearly displayed on a map including ETA, distance and driving time.

Navigon AG today released an update to it's incredibly successful turn-by-turn GPS navigation app, MobileNavigator [App Store, $59.99]. Version 1.4 brings a large number of improvements, including quicker start-up times and the ability to search for destinations using Google Local Search. Other improvements include a turn-by-turn route list, access to contact groups, and the ability to zoom in and out while navigating.

Navigon AG today announced that they have submitted version 1.4 of their popular turn-by-turn GPS application to the App Store. MobileNavigator [App Store, $89.99] 1.4 will include several new features, although the most significant will likely be the option to use Google Local Search to find points of interest from within the application. This differs from Navigon's current method of using a traditional POI database stored within the app, although v1.4 will still include it. The addition of Google will allow users to enter simple search terms such as "steak Chicago" to find listings for steak in Chicago.

Navigon AG has just released version 1.3 of its MobileNavigator [App Store, $89.99] turn-by-turn GPS app which provides support for the much anticipated Live Traffic feature. The new feature allows for MobileNavigator to determine the best routes based on current traffic data, crowdsourced from other Navigon users as well as other sources. If traffic issues arise on the current route, users are alerted and can optionally alter their route to avoid the congestion.

The new feature will be available as a one-time In App Purchase for $24.99. However, during the next four weeks, users can purchase Live Traffic at a discounted price of $19.99.

The application utilizes real-time traffic information as well as historic data to calculate better routes that avoid congestion and get drivers to their destination faster.
