This year at Macworld, iPhone Alley presented several companies with Editor's Choice Awards. The awards went to products which stood out among the others at Macworld. Not all of the products are new at the show, but they were all present. All of these products caught our eye because they're innovative, incredibly useful, or just incredibly great. After Apple's announcement that they would not be attending Macworld after next week's event, there has been a lot of curiosity among the diehard Apple fanboys and girls about what it will mean for the annual event. For those of you who are lucky enough to be going this year, IDG, the company who put on the event along with Macworld, is hosting a town hall meeting on Wednesday, January 7th, where you can voice your opinions and hear what others are saying. The guys at rmbrME have announced a new promotion for anyone attending Macworld SF 2009. Now everyone attending that makes a new business contact using their application will be entered in to a drawing for every new contact they make to win two free round-trip tickets to Hawaii.

Next week the iPhone Alley crew is headed out to San Francisco for Macworld Expo 2009, and we have some big plans this year. Throughout the entire week we'll be live streaming video from Macworld Expo, the parties afterward, and everything in between! While you watch, you'll be able to chat with us as we interview everyone from celebrities to iPhone developers.

With Macworld Expo being just two weeks away, it's time for all you attending to start preparing for the event. Arguably the most important item will be a way to find your favorite exhibitors, and IDG has just the thing. iMacworld [iTunes Link] is their first iPhone application and its sole purpose is to get you as much info about the expo and events as possible.

The app is free and currently includes a list of exhibitors which can be found by booth number, product name, or company name. Additionally, messages from IDG and updates will be automatically downloaded whenever network access is available.

With the flurry of reactions to Apple's announcement yesterday that CEO Steve Jobs would not be giving Apple's final Macworld address, it's not surprising that Steve's health would be called into question. His history with pancreatic cancer has left many nervous that some day he would suddenly no longer be capable of holding his position at Apple, especially Apple's shareholders. Still, world from Apple is that Steve is still as healthy as ever, and not to worry.
