I Can't Stop Playing The New Ramp Champ Halloween Pack

App Showcase

Ever since friend of the site David Barnard (App Cubby) posted this screenshot from Ramp Champ [App Store, $1.99] I haven't been able to put it down. For those who don't know, Ramp Champ is a new twist on the classic carnival skee-ball game. Play consists of flicking one of nine balls up a ramp in order to hit the targets. Sounds easy, but it's not!

So being a fan of @chockenberry, the person who the purple character is meant to resemble, I grabbed the recently released Halloween ramp pack ($0.99 in-app) to see if I could find him. All I can say is that I'm totally hooked. I haven't been able to find Chockenberry yet, but I do know that you need to knock down the three tombstones that reveal skeleton hands, hit the hands, then kill off the caskets.

Iconfactory (makers of Twitterrific) and DS Media Labs (makers of Light Riders) have teamed up to create Ramp Champ, a retro twist on the classic boardwalk game of skee ball. The am is simple: to "throw" the ball and knock down targets as they move around. Ramp Champ puts it in your pocket in several different flavors, with a dazzling and eye-catching artistic flair throughout.

Twitterrific Updated To 1.1, New Features Added, Bugs Squashed

App News

Iconfactory released Twitterrific for iPhone v1.1 today, bringing with it a whole host of new features and bug fixes. Many of the added features address shortcomings and quirks found in the first version. Of note, the camera icon now asks whether you want to take a photo or select from your cameral roll and photos taken are saved to your iPhone before they're uploaded. Scrolling has been significantly sped up and many memory leaks have been plugged. Additionally, your scroll position doesn't change when exiting or refreshing the application. Read on for a full list of changes!
