Nintendo 64 Emulator For iPhone, iPod Touch 3 In The Works

Zottd, the developer behind GBA4iPhone (an emulator for Gameboy Advanced games) has announced work on a Nintendo 64 emulator for the iPhone and third generation iPod touch. He says that the new devices have finally become powerful enough to handle N64 games, though we won't really know how well they perform until we see for ourselves. Things like the controls and frame rate are still in question.

Apple Approves C64 Commodore 64 Emulator for iPhone [Update: Pulled Again]

It won't change things overnight, but it does show that Apple is opening some new doors for emulators. TouchArcade has reported that Apple has approved Manomio's C64 Commodore 64 emulation application [App Store, $4.99] after rejecting the application back in June, making this the first officially-available application emulator for the iPhone.

Nintendo DS Emulator Hits App Store

A Nintendo DS emulator has made it's way into the App Store. DS Double Sys is currently avialable for purchase for $4.99, but we're guessing it probably won't last there for very long. The app emulates the two DS screens, and even allows you to change the color of the case, the "game card" (though you can't load Nintendo DS ROMs) and it can play a few games. Video after the break.

Video: Windows 95 Emulator Running On An iPhone

Russian iPhone website GooDiPhone has published video footage of an iPhone that is successfully running a Windows 95 emulator. Functionality is still very rudimentary and not very good, but it does show that such a thing can potentially be done. They say that performance would be improved if they had an iPhone 3G for testing. Check it out after the break.
