The UK newspaper Telegraph interviewed Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak recently for his thoughts on the iPod, iPhone, and Apple's future. He criticized Apple for locking down the App Store instead of letting developers develop the app they want, noting that the restrictions are too narrow for apps he would consider creating.

They recently released a public alpha version of Game Salad, a drag-and-drop game creator for the Mac. While it seems to be focused on making games for embedding to your blog or sharing on social networks like Facebook, they say it can also make games to be published to the App Store for iPhones.

Stanford To Offer iPhone Application Development Classes

With all of the buzz around developing for the iPhone, it's understandable that those preparing to enter the software development industry will want to prepare for developing on the new platform. Stanford seem to be trying to meet the demand. TUAW discovered that they're offering an entire computer science course starting this fall devoted solely to programming on the iPhone platform. Given that Apple has yet to lift the NDA for app development, we're not sure how they're going to pull it off.
