iBookstore Prices, Possible Hidden Camera and Other Goodies Noticed During iPad Commercial

Although Apple's new iPad ad didn't show off any new features, several eagle-eyed viewers have managed to spot some interesting items. According to 9 to 5 Mac, iBookstore pricing seems to have fallen below Kindle's pricing. A listed Ted Kennedy memoir, "True Compass", retailed for $14.95 for the iPad version (the hardcover goes for $23 while the black and white Kindle version sells for $19.25.

First iPad Ad Airs During Academy Awards, Steve Jobs At the Event

As they did with the first iPhone ad, Apple yesterday aired the first iPad ad during the Academy Awards. No new information was revealed about the device, although the ad shows off many of the included applications and serves as a public announcement of the April 3rd launch date. The ad can be viewed on Apple's site or below via YouTube.

On a related note, Steve Jobs was spotted at the event according to CNET. He didn't take any interviews and was likely in attendance to support Pixar and Disney, of which he is the largest single shareholder.

Apple Posts Two New iPhone Ads, Ditches Rapid-Fire App Showcasing

Apple has posted two new iPhone ads to their video collection on Apple.com. Unlike previous ads which showcase some of the many apps available in the App Store, the new videos take a different approach. "First Steps" shows how easy it is to record a video, send it via MMS, and start a conference call. "On Hold" shows how easy it is to use other applications and play games while on hold.

New Apple Ads Tout AT&T Network Advantages

Apple has decided to step in to the battle between AT&T and Verizon Wireless in the US with two new TV advertisements highlighting one of the few advantages of AT&T's network over Verizon's: the ability to run voice and data connections simultaneously. The first ad, titled "Did You See My Email?", shows the user using an iPhone to open an email from a client while still talking to them on the phone, shown after the break.

Apple Releases Two New iPhone Ads, Gift and Song

Apple has released two new iPhone ads, each spotlighting six different applications available for download on the App Store. Gift gets its name from the free Target, which can be used for "picking the perfect gift," and Song from the Shazam app, which has seen a second appearance. Both ads now tout the fact that Apple now has over 100,000 applications available in the App Store.

New iPhone Ads: Dine, Nature, Pass

Apple released three new iPhone commercials today, showcasing the variety of iPhone applications you can get for your iPhone. Interestingly, the new ads showcase six different apps you can get, unlike the 3 stories done in the past.

New TV Ad: 'Avid', Featuring Golfshot GPS, MLB.com At Bat 2009, TouchSports Tennis '09

Apple has begun airing a new iPhone TV ad targeting sports fans. Titled 'Avid', the segment showcases three apps with the common theme of sports: Golfshot: Golf GPS [App Store | $29.99] with GPS range-finding and aerial views for more than 15,000 courses worldwide, MLB.com At Bat 2009 [App Store| $9.99] which has video and audio streams of some Major League Baseball games and other features, and TouchSports Tennis '09 [App Store], a 3D tennis game. New iPhone Ads: 'Share', 'Travel'

Apple has started the airing of two new iPhone TV ads. Like the ones before it, they focus on the applications available on the device, showcasing apps that fall into a theme. The first is 'Share' shows apps that let you share data with other users, including Mover, Bump, and Scrabble [$4.99]. 'Travel' showcases useful apps for traveling to Paris, including Rick Steves' Historic Paris Walk [$4.99], Paris Metro [$4.99] (an interactive map and rout planner for public transportation in Paris), and Postman, which lets you make digital postcards from photos on your Camera Roll or Google Maps, including custom text, themes, and ability to send via email, Facebook, Twitter and more.

New TV Ads Feature Voice Control, Copy And Paste On iPhone

Apple has begun airing two new TV ads for the iPhone 3GS. The first is titled Voice Control, and demonstrates the new Voice Control feature on the 3GS for both calling phone numbers and playing music. The second ad, called Copy and Paste, demonstrates the copy and paste functions now available with the OS 3.0 update. The ad demonstrates this new feature being used for phone numbers, formatted text and images and web pages, and maps between apps on the device.

Apple Says Only A Moron Would Take Apple's iPhone Ads Literally

Apple responded to claims recently responded to claims that their TV ads for the iPhone 3G are deceptive in nature. The lawsuit claims that Apple's touting of the iPhone 3G as "twice as fast for half the price" was incorrect and misleading. Apple starts off by saying that the statements made in their ads "were truthful and accurate and were not misleading or deceptive." Most interesting, however, was their claim that, to paraphrase, only a fool would believe those claims.
