Powerybase is reporting a surprisingly drastic drop in sales of their previously popular and steadily-selling ToDo reminder app NotifiyMe following the release of iTunes 9. Their data shows a 20% to 30% hourly drop in sales following the update, which they say has been steadily growing as more people adopt iTunes 9.

Several iPhone developers have announced discounts on their apps today. Among them are BeeJive for $12.99 [App Store]from the 18-24th of this month. Ambrosia Software has also announced that all of their apps [App Store] are on sale at $0.99 for the holidays. Update: Also on sale is Weightbot for $0.99 [App Store] and BounceTrap for $0.99 [App Store]. NGMoco's games [App Store ]are all $1 off their standard price as well to celebrate the release of Rolando.

Developers are continuing to offer apps at limited-time discounts or giving them away for free to boost their numbers. Arnold Kim, founder of MacRumors, created a great new way of looking for iPhone apps online called AppShopper.com, which was used to compile this list. Today's list includes ClusterBall, Virtual Pool and Clock.

For a limited time, Makayama is offering their speech recognition app Voice Dial for just $1.99, $8 off it's normal price. The app lets you dial numbers while driving without even looking at your phone. It works with all languages available on the device, and samples your speech to link them to contacts. The sale will begin on October 24th at 12:01AM NZDT (October 23rd, 4:01AM PDT) and continue for 24 hours. All four of their current applications, Record ($1.99), Telegram ($5.99), Note Pad ($2.99), and Duck Shoot ($0.99), will be available for free at that time.
