iPhone Alley Logo Contest – Voting
Thank you to all who entered our Logo contest! We really appreciate the time and effort all of you who submitted designs gave to us. We can’t wait to see which design you think is best. Our site will be getting a face lift that will feature our new logo, so choose wisely!
The winner will receive an iPod Touch and the other two finalists will receive an iPod Shuffle. Congrats!
Please vote for your favorite design below (voting will be closed in one week).

LUV IT! very kool
I like the second one a lot, but why does it have a road? The road does look good, but it doesn’t relate to alleys.
The black one is good but I think the text and iphone being not straight is nit pleasing to look at. I would make that straight. Also the white road in BG has gotto go. Perhaps on the second one make the iphone the BG and put it horizontal.
I like the simplicity of the white one but perhaps I would sepeate the text from the BG more.
The white one meaning the 3rd one.
Is it just me or did the 2nd one totally copy what they already have on the website now. What’s up with that?
glad, i am one of the finalist, but not able to see any images in the poll. currently viewing this from India. tried from 4 different laptops.
This contest is a joke.
Congrats to the 3 runners up.
I like number one and the graffiti-like type used for the word “Alley”. I think it would have been even BETTER with a darkened alley door to the left of the words with the silhouetted of a letter “i” man standing in the door frame. Hmmm…
I’m partial to number one. However, if I had any talent artistically, I would start with a brick background. Like you’d find in an alley. Then add iPhone Alley as one would spray paint on said alley brick wall. In smaller spray paint, text. There would be the content found on the site, such as the words “blog”, “reviews”, “forums”, “news” and maybe a MS logo that someone started to spray paint but it got an overwash of some other spray paint and maybe the Android robut logo with ” x’s” for dead eyes and a RIP in grafitti form.
What?! Too much? Okay, one gets my vote.
I understand the skill and time involved in designing logos. I am not a professional by any means. So without insulting any “designers” I’ll just say, I really with I had submitted my design. I assumed it wouldn’t compete with what I thought would be the finalists. I guess I’m better than I thought, I know I could have swept the polls.
You should have submitted it anyways!
NUmber one really POPS! It draws you into it’s realm. It’s very very professionally done, I can tell. The others are nice but seen them and done them before.
For some reason, I’m still not really blown away with any of these designs. They are all good, i just think my expectations were too high for IPA.
I vote for an extension on submissions. No offense, but none of these really seem to relate. Nor do they really draw me in.
I agree.
Sorry but they’re all pretty awful. How about posting a contest at a site like Digital Point and seeing what you get.
I agree Dave. It was quite a let down on the submissions. I was really looking forward to some impressive designs. These look like 10 minute jobs here.
I think some of them, especially the third, would look good in a bigger size. They look like unprofessional blobs in the poll size but I’m sure at the least the third design would look great if everyone could see the full-size images.
I spent quite a few hours on my design, which is number three. I agree that it needs to be a bigger size to really see how good it is. You cannot see all of the work & small details that went into it at that size.
Hoping to win! Thanks iPhone Alley!
Mine design is the first of the three. I’m not sure why, but the editors cropped my submission down and eliminated a large part of the left side of the logo… a part that was somewhat crucial to the entire look of the logo. Sorta like someone had me bake a cake for them and then scraped the icing off to somehow make it “better”. Ah well, I gave it a decent shot anyway.
I like the third one the best. Here’s what I sent in with better resolution and also as a logo (as well as this, an icon): http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/546/iphonealleyicon.png/
Don’t think mine was too shabby, but it sadly did not make the top three.
Thanks anyways, iPhone Alley.
Here are the ones that I submitted. I thought for sure I would be in the top three but design is very subjective.
I put the cloud in the background because of the iCloud coming. Anyway it was good practice.
Here is the one with the cloud text.

Here is the one with the gray text

I used the iPhone in the background like they had before because I think why change it if it works.
I like the third one best of the three choices. I however prefer more colorful logos.
Michael Hawkins your design pis impressive, I like the soft colors.
Thanks iPhone alley, I hope you like your winner.
Thank you.
Sorry but those are really awful. Totally immature designs!!
Btw i thing you guys should upload all the entries and take a vote
Looks like most of us look at these designs as banners than actual logo for this site. I think we need to differentiate these two clearly and look at the entries above.
I think I like number 3 the best. Number 2 is great but I’d much rather see it on a white/transparent background.
I actually prefer the current iPhone Alley logo with a new hipper looking header. =) Sometimes simple is best. But if I had to vote I would definitely go with #2 hands down.
I totally agree.
These Iphone Alley design is really awesome … i like 1st one design ..
