Interactive Advertising

At a Starbucks in Toronto and Vancouver customers are filing in to get the chance to play with a new interactive window display built to advertise Tazo Tea.

The touch screen allowed patrons to play a game leading a hummingbird, dragon or butterfly on a journey to find the teas’ ingredients. The video shows how the display was created and how it drew customers in.

The advertising world has become increasingly innovative in the way that it attracts customers. No longer will a plain sign do the trick. This new trend in the advertising world reminds me of Back to the Future 2 in which there are 3D holograms used as billboard signs. They had a pretty good intuition of what we might be capable of in the future. The Apple Store has also advertised in new and exciting ways. By hanging a MacBook Air from a helium balloon.
