Christmas Festivities with The Simpsons: Tapped Out
The holiday season has quickly crept up on us, and everywhere you go you’re hit by the mass number of shoppers searching for suitable presents to fulfill their loved one’s wishes. Holiday cheer is unique – young children happily conversing about what they’ve got on their Christmas wishlist, parents bustling around, and the merry joy people get from sharing a glass of eggnog. To get in on the holiday festivities, Electronic Arts, huge publisher and developer of many iOS titles, has given one of its best free-to-play games a Christmas-themed update.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out, one of Electronic Art’s most popular freemium title, received a massive update a few days ago packed with Holiday-based content. The main premise, which involves the player having to rebuild the town of Springfield, has been adapted to better reflect the holidays. A common screw-up in many of the show’s television episodes, Homer Simpson, caused a major meltdown in Springfield, and it’s your job to steadily rebuild the town to its normal status.

With the latest update, everything is adorned by the usual Christmas colors. Apart from the snowy appearance of the town, evergreen trees, candy canes and other red/green items have made their introduction into the town. Also added are holiday accessories that can be used as simple embellishments, string-up-lights and the ability to construct buildings such as Santa’s Village.
The game was already brimming with content and the recent update has only added onto the large variety. If you want a thrill, check out The Simpsons: Tapped Out for free.
